In successfully conforming to the standard and achieving certification, organisations must follow the requirements of the standard and demonstrate compliance in formal documentation but also in how this documentation is followed in managing everyday working practices.
For Robinsons Facilities Services, the assessment process covers our policies, procedures and documented records, which are inspected to establish evidence of our compliance to the standard in areas such as customer service, training, procurement, testing, calibration, health and safety, environment and risk management.
The ISO9001 standard is so well established and so widely accepted, that it is a virtual licence to trade in many different markets, but at Robinsons Facilities Services we use it to ensure standards are maintained in our everyday procedures and that we apply a mentality that strives for continual improvement. A key component of the standard is to monitor, review and apply corrective actions where failings or non-conformities have been found. Therefore, corrective or preventive actions are a fundamental outcome from internal or external audits, ensuring that our procedures both internally and out in the field at customer sites, are under constant review, subject to stringent checking and are monitored for improvement actions at all times.
