Q&A with Tom Bland, Sales & Marketing Administrator
In a bid to shine a spotlight on our hard-working team at Robinsons Facilities Services, we are running a series of Q&A sessions over the coming months.
First up is Tom Bland, our Sales & Marketing Administrator.
Hi Tom, tell us a little bit about yourself. How long have you worked at RFS?
I have been here for 18 months now. The time has flown by to be honest!
What is your role and responsibilities?
I focus on driving new business and client liaison with ensuring all HVAC repair and maintenance needs are fulfilled by our team.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I have to say, winning new clients and developing new relationships is the most fulfilling part of my job. I also enjoy working with a great positive team and I am looking forward to sharing further success with them as we move forward.
What is most challenging about your job?
Probably understanding the different terminology used sometimes in relation to the services we provide. There’s always more to learn!
What 3 words describe you best?
I would say that I am determined, ambitious and expansive. I tend to put a lot of work and pressure on myself but I find it very satisfying to be productive and I am also determined to make every day a positive one.
What do you like doing in your spare time?
I am a big football fan and if I am not playing one weekend then I will be certainly watching it somewhere on a TV!
Tell us a little-known fact about you!
I have an intense and irrational phobia of spiders. So much so, that I once stayed sat on my stairs for over 2 hours until my girlfriend got back home to clear my path of danger.
We’re all proud Yorkshire folk here. What is your favourite thing about Yorkshire?
You can’t beat a day out at the Yorkshire Coast. Arcades & fish and chips – what more can you ask for!
