Robinsons Facilities Services Sponsor Helperby Beer Festival

As respected commercial boiler and air conditioning experts across Yorkshire, we like to get involved with local communities to help strengthen relationships with Robinsons Facilities Services. It helps in our quest to become a trusted partner to work with and it demonstrates our commitment to the local area.
We also really enjoy some of the local community events that we sponsor and this year we have sponsored the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival, plus in September we are also sponsoring the Helperby Beer Festival.
Helperby is a classic Yorkshire village, situated close to our Harrogate office but in a wonderful catchment area that also takes in Ripon, York and Thirsk. Situated between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, and with the River Swale running alongside it, Helperby is a village with many Yorkshire characteristics, including scenery, history, friendly local people and of course, a love of beer.
Robinsons Facilities Services Supporting a Strong Community Spirit
The community spirit is very strong in Helperby, and the initial motivation for the annual beer festival was to raise funds for a purpose-built recreation area for local children in the village. Many of the dads who have organised the festival have young children as well as sharing a love of a good pint, so the means of raising money seemed the perfect solution.
In 2019, Helperby will be hosting its fifth annual beer festival on 14th September, and after raising £8,467 at the first event in 2015, each year the festival has proved to be an even bigger success.
The festival sees a great range of local cask and keg beers on offer, from local breweries such as Rooster, Wold Top, Daleside and BAD Co. There is also a selection of lagers and ciders to make sure all tastes are covered. There will be 10 hours of live music on offer from local bands and there will also be kids’ entertainment to make sure it is a really strong family occasion.
Event Sponsorship is Vitally Important
Of course, sponsorship of events such as these is really important, otherwise they simply couldn’t go ahead. The help of volunteers is one thing, but you need to provide facilities, food, entertainment and many other things which all need paying for.
At Robinsons Facilities Services we think these kind of events are a vital life source to small communities and we like to support them wherever we can. It is a genuine pleasure to support events like the Helperby Beer Festival.

Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: Explained
The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 came into force in January 2023. In the wake of the Grenfell Inquiry, there have been many changes made to legislation to try and make residential buildings safer. The changes come in the form of regulations made under article 24 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (Fire Safety Order).
The Government’s website explains that “The Fire Safety Order applies to all premises including workplaces and the common parts of all multi-occupied residential buildings.” Already, there are restrictions and rules in place for commercial buildings, and the need to have a risk assessment completed and regularly updated, but this will mean that the responsibilities are much more clear.
