What Are Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) Air Conditioning Systems?

A VRV air conditioning system is effectively a split system for multiple rooms in a building, so there is one external unit and several indoor units feeding off it. This is for use in a larger property where one or more rooms are needed to be air conditioning-controlled.
If you are looking for commercial air conditioning services then this may well be the preferred system. One high-capacity outdoor unit can allow for many indoor units meaning you can control different zones and areas within your building.
This system has many benefits, including:
- Cost effectiveness of controlling multiple rooms from one source, so you don’t have to waste money by having the whole system running at the same time.
- Inverter-driven compressors offer better energy efficiency than the alternatives.
- Variety of where indoor units can be sited, ie. wall or floor-mounted or ceiling-recessed, think of this as a sort of modular design where multiple different indoor air conditioners can be added and bolted on.
Of course, with VRV systems there is a higher cost of install than there would be with some of the other forms of air conditioning due to the multiple units, but the investment can help to bring down the costs of your energy bills and give you the ultimate in comfort and control.
With a Robinsons Facilities Services planned preventive maintenance program, we can look after the ongoing and reactive maintenance of this system, to ensure that your air conditioning runs efficiently and is reliable, as well as being on call to attend to emergency breakdown situations.
Why is Planned Preventive Maintenance Important?
Planned preventive maintenance is an investment in your equipment that ensures you get value for money from your capital assets. Our maintenance program ensures your systems are always operating at optimum efficiency, which prolongs their life and has a positive impact on your business operations.
We work with you to design a programme that is tailored to your needs, so that your operations are considered and your productivity doesn’t suffer. The frequency of visits is designed to minimise disruption and ensure business continuity as far as is practicably possible.
