Residential Letting Agents & Landlords
When letting out a private property, whether as a direct landlord or as a letting agent, there are many responsibilities that need to be taken care of. In a residential letting you have a duty to the tenant with respect to:
- Gas safety
- Electrical safety (both appliances and wiring installations)
- Water safety
- Fire safety and security alarms
- Hygiene, sanitation and drainage
- Environmental performance
As a leading facilities services provider, we can help you fulfil your duties and ensure that each property is fit for habitation and complies with all applicable regulations. In fact, the latest legislation has caused quite a demand for our work.
Landlord Gas Safety Certificate
As a landlord, you have certain responsibilities for the maintenance and upkeep of your property. By law, landlords must carry out an annual gas safety check and provide their tenants with a copy of the record of that check. Properties both old and new may have different types of heating systems such as gas fires, wood burning stoves and gas cookers, and it is important that these are maintained to ensure you are compliant with the law as well as providing safety and peace of mind for your tenants. Gas appliances and flues must be safety checked annually by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer. At Robinsons Facilities Services, all our engineers are Gas Safe registered.
Our team of engineers offer fast, reliable, 24/7 call outs for servicing and repairs on your properties. We can also co-ordinate groups of properties and liaise with tenants directly if this is a preferred solution.
